Kristine Boehmer

Kristine has a strong background working with children ages 4 and up, adolescents and their families, as well as adults and couples. She specializes in anxiety disorders, including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, separation anxiety, social anxiety, phobias and panic attacks as well as difficulties that may contribute to anxiety, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, depression, mood disorders, eating disorders, self-esteem, postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and PANDAS.

Kristine enjoys helping families and parents learn how to support children’s emotional well-beings, manage challenging behaviors, and improve family functioning. She uses an eclectic approach based on each individual’s or family’s needs, which includes Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), emotional freedom technique (EFT or “tapping”), and by incorporating art and play into sessions.

on a more personal note…

I love reading, running, animals (especially random animal facts— did you know that ants don’t have lungs!?), art, travel, the ocean, everything Disney, Harry Potter, and spending time with family and friends.
